Author Charges (APC)

GRASP strives to keep publishing costs as low as possible to reduce barriers to open-access publishing.

What Are Article Processing Charges?

Article Processing Charges (APCs) cover the costs of peer review management, editorial processing, typesetting, JATS XML production, DOI registration, digital archiving, and hosting. Since we do not charge readers for access, APCs sustain our open-access operations.

Current Charges

APC amounts vary by journal and are clearly stated on each journal's Author Guidelines page. No charges are levied for submission or peer review — APCs are only charged upon acceptance.

Visit the specific journal page and navigate to "Author Guidelines" to view the current APC for that journal.

Waivers & Discounts

GRASP is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent the publication of quality research. We offer:

  • Full waivers for authors from low-income countries as classified by the World Bank
  • Partial waivers (50%) for authors from lower-middle-income countries
  • Institutional discounts for institutions with bulk publishing agreements

Waiver requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and do not influence editorial decisions.

APCs are payable after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Authors receive an invoice with payment instructions. We accept payment via:

  • Online payment (UPI, credit/debit card)
  • Bank transfer
