Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GRASP website, author and reviewer portals, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Accounts are role-based (author, reviewer, editor, administrator, institutional SPOC). Access is limited to the functions of your assigned role.
- We may suspend or disable accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
2. Submissions and Author Warranties
By submitting a manuscript you warrant that:
- The work is original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- You have obtained all necessary permissions and have the right to submit the work and grant the licences described in our copyright policy.
- The work does not infringe intellectual property rights, contain plagiarism, or violate any law.
- All listed authors have approved the submission and the order of authorship.
3. Peer Review and Editorial Decisions
Submissions undergo editor-managed peer review. Editorial decisions are final. We do not guarantee acceptance or a specific timeline. Reviewers agree to keep manuscripts confidential and to declare conflicts of interest.
4. Licensing and Open Access
Accepted articles are published open access under the licence stated for the relevant journal (typically Creative Commons Attribution). See our Copyright & Licensing policy for details.
5. Article Processing Charges
Some journals levy article processing charges (APCs). Applicable charges, waivers, and refunds are described in our Author Charges and Refund & Cancellation policies.
6. Acceptable Use
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services.
- Do not upload malicious code or scrape content in violation of our terms.
- Do not misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or authorship.
7. Intellectual Property of the Platform
The GRASP name, logo, and software are the property of GRASP. Published scholarly content is licensed as stated per article; the underlying platform is not.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. See our Disclaimer. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GRASP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
